An Intrinsic Love for The Craft

Capturing Magic Through Clay and Paint

I’ve always had a love for making things, ever since my parents bought me some plastic models. Back then, I started out with a few plastic ship models and then a couple airplanes. But what I was really interested in was race cars. We had an oval dirt track in our town and once in a while I got to go see them. So, I started making models of the cars my favorite drivers used. That meant making major modifications to the standard plastic car model kits available back then, as well as creating my own parts. Somewhere along the way, I moved over to drawing and painting and did that for decades.

Fast forward to December of 2022. An artist friend left a large box of low fire clay in my studio. After many years, I decided, for some reason, to try it. And the first thing I made was a couple gnomes, which I proceeded to hide in the trees of my neighborhood, without telling anyone. They were a hit. And one thing lead to another and here we are, an entire gnome army and growing quickly.

Over the last 30 some years, I’ve developed a good feel for creating exceptional paintings, whether on a five story wall or on a two by three foot painted canvas rug. all based on ideas suggested by my clients. So if you can’t find something you like in our gallery (coming soon), feel free to contact me and I can create anything your little heart desires, whether that be a specific gnome, an entire family of gnomes or even a painting of gnomes (I still paint).

I’ve worked with dozens and dozens of designers, architects and homeowners  over the years to bring their dreams to reality. I have a knack for figuring out the very best concept and ideas for any particular situation. So give your ideas and I will create something very cool for you too.
